Warren Attacks Chief Justice Roberts with Insulting Question

Desperate times call for desperate measures, right?

Well, there may not have been a more desperate move than the one made by presidential candidate and Senator, Elizabeth Warren, during the impeachment trial.

Yes, She Really Wrote It

Over the last two days, Senators have been able to submit questions to the opposing party via Chief Justice Roberts.

If approved, Roberts would then read the question for the designated party to answer.

Warren decided to use her question to not only attack Republicans but also Chief Justice Roberts himself.

Justice Roberts presented the question, stating, “The question from Sen. Warren is for the House managers.

“At a time when large majorities of Americans have lost faith in government, does the fact that the chief justice is presiding over an impeachment trial in which Republican senators have thus far refused to allow witnesses or evidence contribute to the loss of legitimacy of the chief justice, the Supreme Court, and the Constitution?”

It was quite apparent how Justice Roberts felt about the question, as it was written all over his face as he glared at Warren immediately after reading the question…

Rep. Schiff (D-CA), the lead House manager, actually looked to diffuse the situation, stating, “I would not say that it contributes to a loss of confidence in the chief justice.

“I think the chief justice has presided admirably.”

When Does It End?

At some point, this vicious tit-for-tat cycle in our government is going to have to end, but when?

Both Republicans and Democrats have been playing this game for more than two decades, putting our government in a virtual standstill since that time.

This is what makes it so frustrating, as Trump was very open to working with both sides at the beginning of his term, but Democrats chose to go to war with him.

Now, it goes without saying that if Republicans get the House in November, come January, they are going to be looking for some massive payback.

But I say again, when does this end? When will Congress actually start working for the people of this country again and stop participating in what is nothing more than political theater?
