On Christmas morning, Senator Warren sent out the following tweet.
One year ago today, Felipe Gómez Alonzo died in CBP custody. He was just eight years old.
This Christmas, I'm heartsick for all of the families who won't be celebrating together today because of the Trump administration's cruel treatment of immigrants and asylum-seekers.

The problem for Warren is that she is spreading misinformation in a veiled manner.
The Story
The child to whom Warren referred was taken into custody by Border Patrol with his father in December 2018.
They were taken into custody right hear the El Paso, TX border.
Both illegals were then taken to a Border Patrol checkpoint in New Mexico.
Once there, an agent noticed that Alonzo did not appear well, so the child was transferred to a local hospital for treatment.
At the time of the illness, the Border Patrol stated, “The child was held for an additional 90 minutes for observation and then released from the hospital mid-afternoon on December 24 with prescriptions for amoxicillin and Ibuprofen.”
That evening, the child began vomiting and was taken back to the hospital, where he died only hours later.
Several days after his passing, the boy’s mother stated that the father took the sick boy along because he knew it would improve his chances of getting into the United States.
The Investigation
I think it is a fairly safe assumption that nobody wants to see these children die, for any reason.
That being the case, an investigation was immediately conducted to see if there was any fault by border authorities in this death.
An extensive investigation was conducted by the Department of Homeland Security’s Office of the Inspector General, which was completed on December 20, and “The investigation found no misconduct or malfeasance by DHS personnel.”
So, once again, we have a Democrat candidate purposely misleading Americans for the sake of gaining political points against Donald Trump.
The fault in this death lies with the father for dragging a sick child on a journey that lasted thousand of miles without medication or proper medical care.
Still, Warren tries to place the blame on Trump, politicizing the death of a child.
You have to ask, just who is Warren more interested in serving? We the People or that that break the law in order to get into our country.
Furthermore, just how far is she willing to go to get to her ultimate objective?
The fact she wants to halt all deportations if elected as well as spend taxpayer money to deconstruct The Wall should just about answer that question for you.
