White House Staffer Tests Positive for Coronavirus

The coronavirus has finally hit the White House, but thankfully, it has not hit the President or Vice President.

The positive test, however, was attributed to a staffer on Vice President Mike Pence’s staff.

No Significant Contact

When the news first broke Friday night, a bit of panic set in across the country in thinking either Vice President Pence or President Trump had been in contact and were possibly in danger.

That, however, was not the case.

Even though the man is on Pence’s staff, he had not recently been in contact with Vice President.

Pence’s Press Secretary, Katie Miller, stated, “‪This evening we were notified that a member of the Office of the Vice President tested positive for the Coronavirus.

“Neither President Trump nor Vice President Pence had close contact with the individual.”

She added, “Further contact tracing is being conducted in accordance with CDC guidelines.”

We should also note, today, during the daily press conference, Vice President Pence stated that both he and his wife will be tested.

Additionally, several members of Pence’s staff that had contact with that individual will be self-quarantining.

Coronavirus Update

As of 1:30 p.m. CDT, there are now 22,738 reported cases in the United States as well as 288 reported deaths.

Of those cases, there are only 64 patients currently in critical condition.

For those of you that have not checked the numbers recently, that is a considerable jump.

The reason the number is climbing is that there are now significantly more tests being performed and processed.

That number will continue to rapidly climb over the next week, possibly longer, as labs catch up with the testing that had been done earlier on.

At some point soon, that curve will begin to level off as labs are on par with testing coming in every day.

Now, before some liberal troll accuses SPN of downplaying this, that is not the case and never has been.

The information we are providing here comes directly from the daily press conferences as well as appearances in the media by Dr. Birx and Dr. Fauci.

Unlike the mainstream media, however, we are working hard to report the truth rather than sensationalize the problem for the sake of a few clicks.
