AOC Slams Potential Biden Presidential Run

The rift between the old guard and the new breed in the Democrat party is about to get significantly bigger.

With a Joe Biden presidential launch anticipated in coming days, Rep. Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) put the kibosh on it, saying it would be taking a step back rather than moving forward.

Party Divide

Most pundits believe the time for Biden to have run would have been in 2016.

However, family problems prevented him from doing so.

Even though Biden has yet to announce for 2020, every sign points that he will be announcing shortly.

You would think that would be good news to Democrats, especially since Biden is leading in virtually every pole out there right now.

Rep. Ocasio-Cortez, however, has other feelings about Biden representing Democrats in 2020.

AOC stated, “I can understand why people would be excited by that, this idea that we can go back to the good old days with Obama, with Obama’s Vice President.

“There’s an emotional element to that, but I don’t want to go back.

“I want to go forward.”

Crowded Field

So far, there are at least 18 Democrat candidates that have announced.

While the field is packed, there are only a few legitimate contenders that have a shot at winning the party nod.

In our opinion, those candidates are Bernie Sanders and Kamala Harris.

Coincidentally, one of those candidates in on AOC’s radar.

Rep. Ocasio-Cortez stated, “I haven’t endorsed anybody, but I’m supportive of Bernie Sanders.”

That makes perfect sense, considering Sanders’ platform is by far the furthest left and leaning socialist, which is where AOC is trying to take the party.
