Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN) is running off at the mouth again.
This time Cohen is accusing President Trump of “raping the country” and he wants Pelosi to move forward with impeachment proceedings.
Begging for Impeachment
Cohen is one of the Democrats that has been demanding Trump’s impeachment from day one.
He has, however, been proven to be nothing more than a clown in Congress.
Cohen, as you may recall, was the mastermind behind bringing a bucket of KFC into the House committee hearing Barr decided to skip.
Rep. Cohen chomped down on some cold chicken, held a chicken statue, and proclaimed Barr to be a chicken for not showing up for the hearing.
He believes House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is more worried about the political backlash than actually doing the right thing.
Cohen stated, “This isn’t about politics.
“It’s about patriotism.”
Cohen reportedly started whining about the Clinton impeachment, claiming that Bill Clinton was impeached “over sex” while Trump is “raping the country.”
White House Pushback
The administration continues to defend Trump as well as criticizing Democrats.
The party is clearly more interested in political theater these days than actually conducting business.
Democrats are also quite unhappy the Mueller report did not help them in their quest to unseat Trump.
Press Secretary Sarah Sanders stated, “The Democrats do not like the conclusion of the Mueller investigation – no collusion, no conspiracy, and no obstruction – and want a wasteful and unnecessary do-over.”
Democrats in the House are growing more and more frustrated with the fact Trump staffers and former staffers are blatantly ignoring subpoenas.
Several House members are now starting to demand jail time for anyone not showing up for their hearing.
In the case of Trump’s tax documents, an Obama-appointed judge ruled in favor of the House, which Nancy Pelosi considered to be a big win.
She stated, “Today, we won our first case.
“We’ve been in this thing for almost five months and now we’re getting some results.”
Even though the judge ruled in favor of the House, Trump’s attorneys have already stated they are working on an appeal.
