James Comey Takes Another Run at Trump

James Comey continues to try to cover his own wrongdoings by throwing shade at Donald Trump.

Comey appeared at a recent Town Hall with Anderson Cooper when he was asked if Trump should face indictment after leaving office.

Comey responded, “I think the Justice Department will have to take a serious look at that.”

The Obstruction Narrative

Like the Democrats, James Comey believes Trump committed obstruction of justice.

Comey stated the overriding factor here may be the optics on going after a former president.

However, he also stated, “Sure looks like it’s there—with respect to at least a couple of those episodes of obstruction.”

One of “those” episodes to which Comey was no doubt referring was his own firing.

A firing, by the way, that has already been justified by the Inspector General.

What Obstruction?

Most conservatives today are of the opinion if there was no collusion, then how could there be obstruction?

Now, we are not idiots.

We do understand that even though there was no original crime, an effort to cover up the alleged crime while it is under investigation is still a crime.

However, that was not really the case here.

Trump discussed options with his team, but many of the “episodes” referred to never actually took place.

While I am no legal expert, I do not believe you can be convicted for merely discussing something and it never being acted upon.

If that were the case, virtually every person in this country would be in jail right now.

And, if those discussions are proof of guilt, then what about Comey?

He clearly acted with bias in this case and actually launched the investigation at the center of all this with bogus information.

Is that not a crime of some sort?

Furthermore, with all of the allegations against Comey now, how is he even being used as an authority on this subject?

He may very well find himself in an orange jumpsuit soon if Barr follows through and investigates the origins of the Russia probe.

Many of us consider what Comey did to be the beginnings of an organized coup, yet CNN and Anderson Cooper continue to applaud his actions and treat him like some type of hero.

Even Comey’s former right-hand man, Rod Rosenstein, of whom Trump has been critical, has taken some shots at Comey over his actions during this investigation.

Comey would be well-served to go find a big rock and hide under it because it is only a matter of time before the walls start closing in around him.
