House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has just taken political theater to a whole new level.
Pelosi is now claiming the President’s mental state is such that his family, staff, and aides need to hold an “intervention” for him.
Going Too Far
Mixed details about the brief meeting between Trump and Pelosi have slowly been leaking out.
What seems to be clear, though, is that Trump never really lost his temper, as Pelosi claims.
She is taking things a bit further, though.
Pelosi stated, “The President stormed out, pounded on the table, walked out the door.
“Another temper tantrum, again, I pray for the President of the United States.
“I wish that his family, the administration, and his staff would have an intervention for the good of the country.”
Pelosi even took it a step further by accusing the President of using this as a bailout to get out of the meeting because he was not properly prepared.
Now, watch this press conference and tell me if you actually believe a word Pelosi is saying…
Overmatched
Pelosi is trying to save face on this because she knows she lost that battle yesterday.
She not only lost that, but the media is already murmuring she really has no choice but to impeach Trump now.
Her most recent statements are only going to put more pressure on her for that to happen.
If she truly believes Trump is unstable and she truly believes that Trump is involved in a cover-up, it is her duty to start impeachment proceedings.
The Constitution requires her to do so.
So, why is she so hesitant to move forward?
The simple answer is that she knows she does not have a case and will be made to look like a fool when all is said and done.
Yesterday, I called this a brilliant move by Trump because I think he has set a trap for Pelosi to encourage her to impeach him because he knows Democrats cannot win.
I stand by that and double down on it today to demand answers from Pelosi that if she truly believes what she is saying about Trump, she is actually neglecting her duties as the ranking member of the House.
