Nancy Pelosi Takes Another Jab at Rep. Ocasio-Cortez

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has not been able to rein in Rep. Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), but that has not stopped her from taking continued jabs at the freshman congresswoman.

During a recent interview, Pelosi stated, “This glass of water would win with a ‘D’ next to its name in those districts.”

Flipping Seats

Pelosi was discussing how the Democrats managed to flip the House in the 2018 mid-term elections.

While she stated Ocasio-Cortez has brought fire to the party, she tempered that by saying in reality, other than unseating an incumbent, her victory in the election was no big deal.

Pelosi stated, “When we won this election, it wasn’t in districts like mine or Alexandria’s.’

“She’s a wonderful member of Congress, as I think all of our colleagues will attest.

“But those are districts that are solidly Democratic.”

Poking the Bear

Many believe Pelosi has already lost a grip on the party as Speaker.

One of the biggest challenges Pelosi has faced has been this new breed of Democrat that is not only embracing Bernie Sanders’ platform but taking it to a whole new level.

While AOC’s Green New Deal appears to be dead in the water, at least for now, it gave us a inside look at where these new Democrats want to take the party.

Pelosi recently stated the Democrat party does not have a socialist agenda.

If she truly believes that, she is far out of touch with the new power horses in her own party.

Bernie Sanders is outpacing everyone in fundraising right now, which is turning out to be another nightmare for the party.

Most establishment Democrats are hoping Biden announces soon, but there is significant pushback by the new breed against Biden already.

AOC recently stated giving Biden the nod would be like taking a step back, and she wants the party to move forward.

There are two options here… either Pelosi has lost touch with her party or she has lost control.

Honestly, it may actually be a bit of both.
