Pelosi Takes Cheap Shot at Trump After Nielsen Resignation Announced

Nancy Pelosi has sunk to a new low and for her, that is REALLY low.

Pelosi quickly released a statement after the Nielsen resignation, accusing the President of “dangerous and cruel anti-immigrant policies.”

Pelosi’s Full Statement

Before shredding virtually everything Pelosi said, it is important you see her full statement so I am not accused of twisting her words…

“It is deeply alarming that the Trump Administration official who put children in cages is reportedly resigning because she is not extreme enough for the White House’s liking.

“The President’s dangerous and cruel anti-immigrant policies have only worsened the humanitarian suffering at the border and inflicted vast suffering on the families who have been torn apart.

“The Trump Administration’s increasingly toxic anti-immigrant policies were resoundingly rejected by the American people in the midterm election.  America needs a Homeland Security Secretary who will respect the sanctity of families, honor our proud heritage as a nation of immigrants, and restore sanity to this Administration’s policies.”

Immigration Policies

First and foremost, it is extremely important to stress the fact these immigration laws were and have been the books long before Trump ever took office.

The difference is the fact his administration is actually trying to enforce them.

Saying Trump officials, including Nielsen, put children in cages is shameful.

Pelosi, as I have stated before, makes it sound as though these children are being put in dog kennels.

The holding facilities, which are fenced in, have been around since Barack Obama and before.

Yet, for some reason, Democrats never seemed to have a problem with these facilities until Trump came into office.

This is not defending the condition of the facilities, just stating a fact.

Doesn’t anyone think it is rather peculiar for a Congresswoman from California making such a fuss about this now, considering many of these “cages” have existed in her state for more than a decade?

The Trump administration has asked for more money for immigration, part of which would be to build newer and better holding facilities.

Legislation has been introduced by this administration to speed up the immigration process as well as trying to keep families together and reunite families that have been separated.

She referenced Trump’s “toxic anti-immigration policies.”

Trump has encouraged immigration, as long as it is done legally.

Pelosi is not calling out the parents of these children that drag them across the desert or allow them to be used in human trafficking schemes.

Pelosi does not weep for the American picked up for shoplifting that lives in a “cage” after being convicted but will shed a tear for an MS-13 gang member that she once referred to as “God’s children.”

This is what Pelosi does, she cherry picks incidents and acts as though these things were not going on while Obama was in office, when her party actually could have done something about it.

It is not Trump’s fault record numbers of illegals are trying to sneak into the country.

If these families were migrating to the United States the proper way, they would not be in a herd of 4,000 people trying to crash the gates.

There would be no humanitarian crisis at the border, period.

To say that Nielsen was not “extreme” enough is simply ridiculous.

Trump doesn’t want extreme, he wants someone that can make our borders tougher to get across illegally, period.
