Rep. Elijah Cummings Issues Subpoenas for Trump Business Records… Trump Responds in Kind

The Democrat coup to take down Trump failed when the Mueller report was released, but they are not giving up quite yet.

Earlier this week, House Oversight Committee Chairman Elijah Cummings subpoenaed Donald Trump’s business records.

Trump immediately answered back by filing a lawsuit.

Fighting Back

At this point, everyone has to agree this is no longer about collusion or obstruction.

The Democrat obsession is because they simply cannot get over the fact their golden girl screwed the pooch against someone in the private sector.

They all thought they had Trump cold on collusion, but that was, as expected, nothing but a witch hunt.

If Democrats think they are going to start using political clout to take down Trump, though, they have another thing coming.

The lawsuit read:

“Instead of working with the president to pass bipartisan legislation that would actually benefit Americans, Democrats are singularly obsessed with finding something they can use to damage the president politically.

“Democrats are using their new control of congressional committees to investigate every aspect of President Trump’s personal finances, businesses, and even his family.”

Wild Goose Chase

In a sense, though, this is actually good news for Trump.

If Democrats are working this hard against him right now, they must be worried their candidate, whoever it may be, will not be strong enough to defeat him in 2020.

The sad thing, though, is this administration was a real chance to get bipartisan legislation passed on some major issues.

If there was ever a Republican that would have been willing to bargain, at least within reason, it was Trump.

Democrats blew that, however, when they started the collusion witch hunt.

The only way this is going to stop is if Americans make their view crystal clear to Democrats come election day 2020.

Kick the Dems back out, let’s get the Republicans in a supermajority, and get this country back on track.
